A great beach stay

We spent a terrific week at the Surf Song Condo and had a wonderful time. This is
the first time that we stayed in a vacation rental home instead of a hotel -- and it was perfect. It was very close to the beach, just took elevator down, walked through the pool area and there was the beach. The beach was nice and quiet, not busy at all, and we could grab chairs from Surf Song to sit on the beach.
When we arrived, the staff was very friendly and gave us our key as soon as cleaning had been completed (we arrived early). We were right across the street from John's Pass, which had lots of gift shops and dining.
We stayed in a two level condo, and you could enter on upper level or lower level. It's recommended you bring your luggage to the lower level when you first arrive, as it is a narrow spiral staircase you have to go down inside the unit otherwise.
There were too bedrooms, both with ample room. The one kids stayed in had its own tv with satellite and 2 double beds, with dressers and closet. Plenty of room. Our room had a king size bed and its own tv as well as an adjoining bathroom. The kids used the main bathroom across from there room that was also quite spacious. The beds we all comfortable and the whole unit was spotlessly clean.
Upstairs was a large living area, leather furniture, satellite tv and dvd player and a large dining area. Off the dining area was the balcony that you could see the ocean from.
The kitchen was small, but had all the essentials required and it was a bonus the fridge had an ice machine, which was great during our excursions to Desoto Beach...a must see. It also had a grinder in the sink.
We brought our own beach towels, and there were plenty of towels in the unit for showering.
It was like a home away from home. We absolutely loved it there. The pool area was quiet and had lots of lounge chairs and shuffle board. It was heated and kids often had the pool to themselves.
We would highly recommend this unit and miss it already.
