Open air markets are public marketplaces where you can purchase food and other merchandise. They get their name because they are in a market square or open air space, much like a farmer's market or green market.

Saturday Morning Market

This market aims to be the Heart of St. Petersburg. It is very much a creative community, and real farmers offer great food. You will also find a wonderful selection of craft items as well as live music.

This market is open every Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm. It is located downtown in the Al Lang Stadium parking lot. The local open air market season for this particular market is between October 5, 2019, and May 30, 2020.

This open air market boasts of over 125 vendors and ready-made food from over 15 countries so you can travel the culinary world right from the market. It is also a very close-knit community filled with local business owners, creators and makers, and musicians alongside the residents and many visitors.

You can find the Summer Market in Williams Park between the months of June and August, so you don't miss a beat or miss any shopping opportunities in this community.

Gulfport Tuesday Market

This open air market is located in a beach town. It offers a fresh market every Tuesday. Between October and April, they are in operation from 9 am until 3 pm. Between the months of May and September, the market runs from 9 am until 2 pm.

The vendors at this open air market offer a variety of fresh foods, including local and organic produce, and hydroponic fruits and vegetables when available. You will also find fresh bread, pastries, coffee, crafts, flowers, and bath and body products, among so many other amazing items.

There is also a free clothing swap that happens every Tuesday of each month during this open air market. And when you're done walking the market, you can then visit the variety of independent shops, boutiques, and restaurants that are within walking distance. Parking and admission for this market are always free and very convenient.

It is the perfect market to visit if you are looking for more of an "Old Florida" style town that is small and close-knit.

Treasure Island Friday Morning Market

This open air market is open every Friday morning and is located in the Treasure Island Community Center Park between 154 and 106th Avenue. There is plenty of off-street parking available during market hours, along with free admission.

You can find this market every Friday from 9 am until 2 pm between the months of December and April. You will find a great selection of local crafts, produce, plants, and flowers, among so many other vendors. In total, you can find over 50 vendors offering a variety of items.

In addition to the delicious and local produce and food options, you will also get to shop wearable art and find customized gifts and locally sourced honey. This open air market continues to grow and prosper each year and is sure not to disappoint.

Corey Avenue Market

If you are looking for a market that features 50 to 80 vendors and is frequented by both residents and tourists, then the Corey Avenue Sunday Market is where to go. It is located on St. Pete Beach on Corey Avenue between Boca Ciega Avenue and Gulf Boulevard. It is held every Sunday during the months of October until May and is open between 10 am and 2 pm.

It all started back in 2007 and quickly became a favorite. Local vendors are there selling a variety of local produce and homemade items. There are plants, ready to eat lunch items, fair trade products and so much more.

In addition to the market, you will also experience live music and you can walk the area and explore their many shops, boutiques, and galleries that are also open for some shopping. It is also a dining district that boasts of many delicious breakfast, lunch, and even brunch spots. There is something for everyone and you will not be disappointed with the variety and the uniqueness of this locale.
