#108 Beach Place Condos [1]
great location; not so great accomodations
Reviewed on 2025-02-09 by william k. , West Henrietta, NY US#108 Beach Place Condo - SunHost the management company was GREAT ! The condo....ugh not so great.
1) The unit is dark. The hallway ceiling lights are dim. The kitchen has one central light in the ceiling; no undercabinet lighting; no recessed lights; hence the kitchen seems dark all the time. 2) The unit needs a serious paint job. All the doorframes are dirty, and all the baseboards are nasty, dirty, peeling, and scuffed up. 3) The bathrooms and kitchen were probably remodeled 20 years ago, using dark cabinets and dark tiles, and dark granite. By today's standards its dated. 4) There was no laundry tabs, tissue, paper towels, dish scrubby provided. 5) No plastic glasses provided for use by pool. 6) Frypans were warped and scratched up. 7) silverware was a motley assortment from about 4 different sets. 8) None of the bedroom light switches actually controlled any lights. 9) Quite a few outlets were loose in the wall; we noticed this when we plugged the vacuum into multiple outlets. 10) all the plates were plastic and clearly not microwave compatible as the plates got hot in the microwave. 11) The microwave is really old and failing; it took forever to do simple tasks like melting butter on a plate. 12) The back bedrooms need blackout shades, as hallway lighting shines into the 2 back bedroomms at night. 13) All the talbes lamps are these huge bulbulous things with huge shades; really dated and ugly. 14) all the 'cutesy' sayings about 'beach life' hanging on the walls are overdone. 15) The comforters on the beds is dated (the beds were comfortable though).
ON THE PLUS SIDE -> The condo building location is great, the beach is great, the pool is great.
RECOMMENDATION - we saws other far brighter and nicer units within the building. You might want to look for them. The Condo owner needs to spend some serious money and get #108 up to snuff, painted, and brighter. For what you are charging, tenents deserve better.

Reviewed on 2025-01-26 by , VERNON, NY, NY United StatesStayed in room #108—A beautiful view of the Gulf of America from our balcony. The room was nice and clean. But the dining room chairs were uncomfortable. We all had to put pillows on the chairs to sit. It's an awesome location with John's Pass right across the street. This is 4th year in a row staying at this condo but won't choose #108. again.
10/10
Reviewed on 2024-08-11 by , Maryville, TN USThe room was a little messy when we got there and the pool was a little crowded but other than that it was amazing. Some of the staff was very helpful and let me park in a different spot when my spot was flooded due to the tropical storm/hurricane that came through.
Amazing location, amazing time
Reviewed on 2024-08-01 by Kim W. , Wimauma, FL United StatesWe stayed in the 3 bedroom, there were 7 of us (3 generations). We stayed for 7 days. Everything was wonderful, from the politeness at checking to the friendly staff throughout our stay. The condo was very nice, clean and well equipped. Beautiful beach/sea view and of the pool. The location was fantastic with easy access to John's Pass and all the dining and activities. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you.
Beautiful family vaca at an awesome condo!

Great vacation location
Reviewed on 2023-07-17 by Brittany B. , Gnadenhutten, OH United StatesMy family has been staying at Beach Place for the last 9 years, and the condo's themselves get updated, but the building itself is not. Elevator and pool restrooms need to be updated. Elevators are slow and HOT!! We generally use the steps with only being on the first floor and the stairways are dirty with cigarette butts, sand and trash. Bathrooms consistently smelled of urine. However this was the fourth year we have stayed in BP108 and this year a lot of amenities that are normally in the condo were not there (kitchen items), but my main issue was no broom or working sweeper, when you are directly on the beach the amount of sand that gets unintentionally drug in is insane and then on top of it having no way to clean it up.
Great location but needs appliances updated
Reviewed on 2023-07-11 by , Liberty Township, OH United StatesLikewise, our freezer did not have an ice maker - just two trays. We had to purchase ice.
Floors also in need of a deep clean. Our feet were black from walking on tiles.
The people were great! Pleasant to talk to.
We will likely come back to this building, but not this unit. They need to update the AC and other appliances. We paid nearly $500/night. That’s too high to not sleep comfortably.
We love this location. This is probably our 10th time staying in this building. However, the units are showing their age. We were not permitted to lower AC temp below 72 degrees or the unit would break. That made things very uncomfortable. It’s Florida. Florida is hot. We did not sleep well.

Likewise, our freezer did not have an ice maker - just two trays. We had to purchase ice.

Floors also in need of a deep clean. Awesome condo in the perfect spot
Reviewed on 2023-05-28 by Troy E. , Rock Falls, IL United StatesThe condo was absolutely perfect. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. The beach was within a couple hundred feet and John’s Pass was directly across the street. The condo was very clean and had a very cool beach vibe. The only “issue” we had was that we couldn’t get the WiFi to connect, which wasn’t a big deal.
Loving Beach Place Condos!
Reviewed on 2023-05-01 by Gina C. , Charlotte, Vermont United StatesMy family (4 adults, 3 children) spent a week at Beach Place. We have stayed in other St Pete area locations before, but we loved this one. We chose a unit with 3 bedrooms, were close to the pool, the ocean, and within walking distance for restaurants and the pirate ship adventure, which our grandkids loved. While we were only on the 1st floor, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets from our balcony. We are looking forward to a return visit next year!

Reviewed on 2022-12-05 by , Oakville, ON CanadaGreat convenient location. Would have preferred a unit not overtop of the pool. Only one parking spot for the 3 bedroom unit. Stayed for 4 weeks however minimal cleaning supplies provided. Balcony was a bit tight. That aside, we plan to return next year!

108 BEACH PLACE
Reviewed on 2022-08-16 by , Wabash, IN USWe had a great place and the condo was good overall. The 2 BR's at the front of the condo weren't kept as cool as the rest of the condo. The ice maker didn't work so we had to buy ice during the week. Would be nice if the condo had a cooler that you could take to the beach. But overall, the condo was good and we enjoyed our week there.
Not terrible
Reviewed on 2022-06-05 by Angela p. , Kokomo, IN United StatesWe had a wonderful time. There were a few things that could of been better but it wasn't a deal breaker. They have one elevator for the whole building and it is SLOW. Not all of the grills work and they are such a far walk. There were a couple things about my particular condo that could be updated. A socket had fallen off the wall and the dishwasher is on its last leg. We worked through these things and still enjoyed our time here. The location is everything. It makes up for the other minor issues. It would be nice to see friendlier staff, though. You can tell those people work hard, no doubt. They are either burned out or just don't like tourists. (I can understand that with some of them) The public beach access makes it a bit noisy and rowdy. The condo itself i would give 8 out of ten. It cost a lot to stay there though. When we came in there was sand all over everything. Even the couch.
Wonderful Location
Reviewed on 2022-04-11 by Charlene M. , Edwardsburg , MI United StatesBeach Place 108 has a wonderful location with great views. The condo had some minor things that were broken, but nothing that was major. The only complaint I had was that Barbara the major called me about some items that weren't mine and were there on the day I arrived, she was very rude and laughed at me on the phone like I was a stupid child because I did not report them.

Great Price & Location
Reviewed on 2021-12-03 by , Tioga, PA United StatesVery Big and spacious for a small group of people. Perfect location! Pool/Beach steps away and everything in St John Pass is in walking distance. The only.thinh we complained about was the air conditioning only being able to be set at 72. It was very warm and at night we had to leave the balcony doors open to get some cook air circulating. Great security system with # locks for entry to facility.

Reviewed on 2021-04-05 by , Flushing, MI United StatesAs always we loved our stay at Beach Place. The new floors were beautiful and the condo was clean when we arrived. Our only issue was people who were not staying there coming off the beach and going into the pool when someone was leaving or entering at that time. Family of 12 were let in one night. I spoke with the gentleman who unwittingly opened the door for them they have become cleaver about standing and looking like they are having issues remembering the code. Thankfully the new lock on the beach gate was fixed on our last day. We want to also compliment the office staff on always being friendly and professional. See you next year!!!

Just okay
Reviewed on 2020-10-18 by , Mooresville, IN United StatesRoom was a lot nicer than some of our friends, one who had no air, the other was outdated as could be that I felt gross walking on their brown carpet! Our garbage disposal stunk pretty bad and our front door had a big gap in it so the lights shined right through it in evening and chain lock could easily fall off so we had to put something against door at night because we had little ones. The bathrooms down by pool were out of order the whole week until last day we were there :( We had a little one potty training so that was a pain having to go back up to room.
As far as property cleanliness, they took great care of pool and didn’t see a lot of trash just laying around.
And depends on what room someone would get if I would recommend it!
It was okay, this is my second year here. I called a few times beforehand because I kept getting emails about making payments that I already had. Lady was very rude and started laughing when I asked to speak with someone else. The day we checked out the lady was super friendly!

Room was a lot nicer than some of our friends, one who had no air, the other was outdated as could be that I felt gross walking on their brown carpet!
