Everything was great except for the uncomfortable mattresses. Had sore hip joints from sleeping on them. I hope they are replaced before we return in 2026. Will have to bring mattress topper in case they aren’t. The hallways and elevator need. Some upkeep. This may be some residual hurricane damage IDK. Madeira Beach area has done a tremendous job cleaning up after hurricanes and should commended for their resilience.

Condo was in an excellent location! Right across the street from John’s pass! Upon entering the condo I was hit with an odd smell. The bedroom seemed to be the worse. It smelt musty/moldy. I had to buy a bottle of disinfectant spray, which helped a bit! I didn’t say anything to the maintenance person, mostly because I didn’t see any of them around. Also, there was no place to do laundry. New machines were put in but not operational. I would stay there again because the property is beautiful and in a great location.

My status was wonderful! Room 201 was perfect! This is my 6th time staying at Sandy Shores, at it just keeps getting better. So easy to check in and out. Location, location, location! The condo was clean and very comfortable. Loved drinking my coffee every morning on the balcony and watching the beach life, manatees and dolphins!

needed quarters for laundry outside of our room. Machine took more quarters than it asked for. Went to office to get more quarters and was told they only rent the units and to go find a bank to get quarters.
I won't be back.

Everything was perfect except the condo next door was being renovated and I heard them as early as 6am and as late as 10:30pm everyday. I will definitely rent this condo again. The location is perfect.

The location is incredible. The unit has a very musty smell. The last four Days there was Renovation’s in the Room Next beside us. The construction started early and ended very late. The room was clean. Everything functioned fine. I will definitely try Sandy Shores Again .

Keyless access / protection to staircase, elevator, beach In&out with 4 digit PIN, to Condo with 6 digit PIN ��, no worries about keys.

Staircase and elevator left some room for improvement of cleanliness.

the lock did notwork we ask for help nobody could open the door we try the call the management no luck one lady finelie got nummer from a lady and she told us what to do after one hour we got in terrebleservice after 5 you cant reach anybody

Loved the balcony and ocean front but room is outdated! Checked in after hours and they did not tell us about code to use elevator, bathroom toilet hand was loose and my husband fixed it and shower faucet needs replaced, door in bathroom falling apart, coffee maker filthy!

This is an older property with some definite wear and tear. It had everything you need though and was clean. Sunhost people are great to deal with and we’ve stay in several of their properties. We will again.

My family and I loved our stay. The location is perfect. Within minutes of walking you have gift shops, restaurants and ice cream shops right behind the condo complex. The views were amazing sitting on the patio. Check-in/out was seamless and easy. We plan to visit again. The upkeep/cleaning was not as detailed as I personally clean but for a week stay it was no biggie. We had our 15 month old so rented some items from babyquip which worked great.

We live Sandy Shores. Have been staying there for over 15 years. We were somewhat disappointed with this particular unit. The kitchen and living and balcony were great. The bathroom looks like it needs work. Obviously there have been leaking issues. There’s a patch on the ceiling above the shower. You can see water damage on baseboards and bottom of the bathroom door. But the real issue (and I assume it’s probably also from water damage) the bedroom smelled sooo musty. Like an old wet towel. Especially the bed farthest from the bedroom door. The bedding all smelled very musty. Also the smell could be coming from the carpet If there was water leaking into the bedroom. I would definitely recommend Sandy Shores to anyone that asked but would probably not recommend this particular unit at this time.

Needs a lot of plumbing updates. Faucets about ready to fall off and rust on a lot of fixtures. Bathroom doors were falling apart. Stains and sections of ceiling falling down. Toilet sits crooked and unlevel.

Great location if you dont want to drive anywhere. The condo desperately needs an update but considering the prices being so high everywhere and everything was booked up we stayed here. It was clean and location is great as we walked across the street to eat at Johns Pass and shopped in the shops there. Only drove our car once to get groceries. Elevator was super slow and not working one day but we were on the second floor so it wasn’t that bad. Would stay here again but not worth $250/night

Er have stayed at this location for several years but this is the first unit through Sun Host. We were impressed that the overall cleanliness of the unit and the quality of the towels were superior to most other units we have rented.

That location was wonderful however we had a little bugs crawling out of our sink and on our countertops. Interior was rundown, doors were peeling , baseboards were beat up and dirty, beds were hard as rocks. Property needs to be updated. bathroom was old and peeling and rundown. Would not stay there again.

Very dirty bathroom, the faucet hadn't been cleaned in ages. The locals from the beach come in through gate, use bathroom and pool. That could be rectified by a key card, take off the knob on door so that can't turn it

Good location and great view.Problems, the tub water handle about to fall off,the garbage disposal was froze up. no one is available (answer the emergency number)after hours to handle problems. The building generator (which is right outside of the condo door) ran for hours one night & it was so loud we had to go to our car in order to call the management, wh never answered.. The gas line attached to it was rusted through to a dangerous depth, we reported it to the fire Marshall who was going to address it immediately. The elevator only worked 4 days out of the 8 we stayed.The Sunhost representative said they have nothing to do with property problems(even though our paperwork said we were to contact them with problems) and other management company was responsible. Everyone wanted to pass the buck and not address the problems. There was no security, non-guests were always parking in the lot and eating and shopping across the street. Better to rent from owners directly than through a management company.We always have rented through owners and have never had any problems, this was the first time we did not..lesson learned
