Madeira Norte Unit 505
Reviewed on 2024-07-09 by , Lutz, FL United StatesWe have been traveling to the Madeira beach area for over 20 years and have stayed at these condos, but never in this specific unit. We booked later than we usually do and didn't have many options, so we decided to move forward with this one. The unit was clean and well furnished. However, the building itself has gone down in quality. The elevators are old, take forever, and shake on certain floors. I also don't agree with the unit's a/c 72-degree max policy. It was very warm in the night and as native Floridians; we are accustomed to sleeping with the a/c at the temperature that we please (typically 70 degrees at night). There was a sign below the thermostat that clearly states that dropping it below 72 will freeze the unit and repairs will take 24 hrs. We had a weeklong stay during a holiday (4th of July) and its very uncomfortable to not be able to get good quality sleep because you have to worry about the a/c freezing over. At the price we paid, just sounds ridiculous to have to worry about. I would suggest adding that in the property's description, so renters are at least aware of the rule. I also didn't appreciate the SunHost agent forgetting to give us the key fobs when we checked in, made the check-in process pretty miserable when we had to depend on others to open the elevators with their key fob. I wasn't even offered to have them dropped off. When I called the office, I was told to come back and pick them up because I need them to get around the building.
Great apartment on the beach

The balcony was the best of both worlds with a beach view to the right and the street view to the left. Sunhost people are always great to deal with. We've stayed in multiple Sunhost units over the years in this same area and will do so again.

Christmas in Madeira Beach

It was my wife and I and our 2 kids. We could’ve put both of them in the 2nd bedroom with 2 beds, but we brought our blow up mattress and put our son in living room. No problem.

It was perfect for 4 people and to our surprise there was an extra cot type bed in the master closet for a 5th person if you need it. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back. The location was perfect!

Great location to johns pass

The check in process is a bit cumbersome with all the keys need to enter the complex and trying to set it up with management. Numerous phone calls and emails to set up.

Stayed at this property for one week recently with my husband and our teenage boys. Location was PERFECT as we are directly across the street from St. Johns Pass (resteraunts, water sports, shopping and ice-cream). AND on the beach so best of both worlds. <br/><br/>Property was clean and well stocked, had beach chairs, cooler for the beach and inflatables and the view was probably one of the best in the condo being on the 5th floor. I would definitely recommend this condo.

You can't beat the location. Walk across the street for shopping, dining, and ice cream. Beach and pool out your back door. We will stay here again.

Room had everything you need. Beds were decent and whole thing was very clean. Great view. Will be back and check them out first. A little dated but great shape. Just looked like grandma's beach place but that didn't matter we were there for the beach! Walk across the street to alot if places was great. Only downside was the elevators are very small and if you have a luggage cart only one person getting on.

The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for our 6 week stay! We are avid fishermen with Hubbard's Marina, and were able to walk to the dock from our unit! The pool was heated and very comfortable!

The side beach location also provides the benefit of night-time views spanning John’s Pass Fishing Village, or view boats travelling up the intracoastal waterway. With 940 square feet of living space, Beachy colors and an open airy layout there is plenty of space for everyone. Two bedrooms with spacious closets and on and ½ baths; there is ample seating in the dining and living areas. The private balcony may be accessed from the living room as well as master bedroom, offering welcome shade until late afternoon.
You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.
Please note the Rules and Regulations for Madeira Norte Condominiums prohibit motorcycles on the property. The Board of Directors has authorized the removal of motorcycles via a local towing company.
There is one assigned parking spot for this condo. Only one car can park at Madeira Norte. Additional parking spots are not provided to Madeira Norte Guests.
The unit sleeps four comfortably with 1 king and 2 twins (no sleeper sofa). In addition the owners supply a small twin roll away and a pack n play for small children. Completely renovated and upgraded unit with new flooring throughout, premium granite countertops, custom cabinetry. Free WIFI. TV's in the living room and master bedroom. Please note this condo does not have a phone.
The non-smoking unit has its own washer and dryer, with a designated parking space, visitor parking and there are ample BBQ facilities provided. The beach is literally a few steps from the elevator, with private secure gate access limited to Madeira Norte residents. Our private heated pool offers an alternative to the warm crystal clear gulf waters, with ample poolside seating and umbrellas.
For some shopping and entertainment, you are just a 2-minute walk from John's Pass Village, a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village voted Pinellas County’s leading tourist attraction. For good reason, The Village offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops. Enjoy some music at The ‘Bamboo Beach Beer Garden’ and ‘The Hut,’ or eat fresh fish caught daily at ‘Waltz Fish Shak.’ Several popular anchor tenants have also made the Village their home including Bubba Gump’s, Hooters and Hubbard’s Marina. Numerous novelty stores offer opportunities to pick up a souvenir and there is a Pirate-themed boardwalk popular with children of all ages. The Village also offers a variety of watersports on your doorstep, such as parasailing, jet-skis, boat rentals, dolphin watching and shelling, chartered fishing, even a Pirate Ship cruise aboard the Royal Conquest!
The Sunhost onsite management office is located next door, providing 7 day a week maintenance with after hours emergency on-call personnel. You will find the unit to be meticulously clean, furnished with all kitchen utensils, bed-linens, towels, even extra pillows. Our friendly staff will provide local information and guidance, as well as general office services including fax, copier, and print boarding passes.
Tampa International Airport is just 25 miles and St. Petersburg Clearwater International is 15 miles away.
