Location is great, overall the unit is nice. We did find other renters trash under the beds when checking to make sure we got all of our own stuff out (food wrappers, dirty socks, etc). Also noticed no fire extinguisher in unit. Something small would be nice since we did a lot of cooking.
The unit itself was a great location and I appreciated the locks required to get in and out of the building. Aside from the cleanliness, which was not enough to deter us from coming back, a very nice rental

Great working with Sunhost , have used them before. Perfect location , unit and grounds clean and well kept . Have stayed in Crimson # 204 in the past unit is showing it’s age. Countertops are coming apart , some areas in unit the paint is coming off the walls , still well maintained. Supplies provided by owner ,very sparse, very small amount of cleaning supplies, and toilet paper. Nothing else , no paper towels, tissue , napkins etc that many units provide or allow other renters to leave. People were smoking in parking area , advertised as non smoking property.

Our unit was outdated. Looked like furniture hadn’t been updated in years. Stove looked like it was from 70’s. Had electric coils that didn’t sit flat. Veneer counters were buckling. Small TV in main area. No ice maker in fridge. Only had trays. Dishes and cooking utensils were lacking

Overall it was a good stay. The condo was very clean, well maintained and the beds are comfortable, but it was obvious that the whole condo needed updating and some of the furniture replaced.

It was across the street from John's Pass which made it very convenient to walk to the shops and restaurants. We loved the access to the beach which was within steps of the condo.

We had an issue with dusty plastic plants and vents. However, once we notified the office, someone was there within the hour to take care of it. I was impressed with the quick response.

Very nice location. You can literally never move your car if you do not want to. So many shops and restaurants at St. John’s Pass which is just right across the street. Beach is calm and so warm. Rental staff very easy to work with.

Great location for visiting Madeira Beach! We love the location. Washer and dryer in the unit and plenty of room for storing clothes and other needs.

Staff was excellent. Really liked the security. As far as Unit 204. The carpet needs to be replaced or professionally cleaned. Second bedroom, you can feel springs in mattress. Old stove, 1 burner not working. Just a few of the major things that NEED to be addressed as we would stay there again.

Myself and my elderly father stayed in crimson 204 for a week in March. We travelled from Ireland and joined my brother and his family who travelled down from Canada, who also stayed at Crimson. It was a really happy week that we had been really looking forward to, as it was our first time away since Covid began and also since my Mum passed away two and a half years ago. It was a lovely week that meant a lot to my Dad especially, so much so that he was very keen to come back next year.
On the last morning, we were approximately 50 minutes late checking out. I understand, for lots of reasons, this isn’t fair and I apologised for this when handing back the keys. I understand that we were at fault and it isn’t fair to the staff cleaning the property and to the incoming guests.
I am however, quite upset by the way this was dealt with by the lady in the office and as I said to her, I feel very sad that our holiday ended on such a bad note. I found her quite rude and just found it all unnecessary to be dealt with in such a dismissive and rude way. I was so caught off guard by this whole interaction that I unfortunately did not get her name.
We fully intended on rebooking again for next year but I was so upset leaving the office I couldn’t even contemplate having that conversation with this member of staff.
I also wrote an email directly to Sunhost resorts weeks ago but didn’t receive any response or acknowledgement it was received.
I would like to make it clear that I have never felt the need to complain or review anything negatively before, and had my email been acknowledged, I wouldn’t have submitted this review.

Nothing upgraded in years! Beds are uncomfortable and very old. The couches have no support so that you slide backwards into the the seats. Only two bar stools for four people. We have complained for the last few years and nothing has changed! Obviously the owner has no desire to provide decent accommodations! Canceled for next year!

Great location, very well kept property, and great experience with SunHost staff. The Condo shows signs of use with bar stools ready to fall apart. Mattresses were well beyond their expected life span , pillows just as bad. Recommend more wash cloths. Have stayed in other properties and will return, but with more research.

We have stayed at crimson in the past and room 204 was a disappointment. Master shower faucet is in bad shape, the kitchen and carpets in the bedrooms should be updated. The price we paid i thought it was going to be as nice as your other rooms. We like the crimson and will be back, but not in room 204.]

Our vacation rental was not updated at all. The countertop was peeling up in one area. The unit itself was not clean. There was mold in the bathrooms. The kitchen cabinets had stuff “running down” them, so they hadn’t been wiped down. The hall bathroom had two light bulbs that were burnt out. Our feet were black from walking around. The “required key” to get to the pool and beach is ridiculous and also a liability. If there was an emergency, and you didn’t have a key, someone could be really hurt or dead.

We have rented two condos at the Crimson for several years. #203 has always been very well maintained but #204 is disappointing always! Two years ago I reported that the beds were terrible and the spread is disgusting. The furniture is so old that when we sit on the couch, it collapses. Two bar stools for four people and kitchen supplies are lacking. Two years later, nothing has changed. Very disappointing.

Our toilets would barely flush upon our arrival. Then we had to call maintenance. They snaked it, and brought new towels. No housekeeping. It happened again one evening. No one could come that evening. We had to use our friends restroom and the smell of clogged toilets took over our entire unit! The plumber didn’t come till almost 3:00 the next day! He had to remove a toilet, still using a friends place for restroom and now showers. Once he replaced toilet no housekeeping ever came! There was poop in the floor and the smell was terrible. So for almost three days of our stay, the restrooms could not Be used. They apologized but that was it. Thank goodness we could use our friends facility that was on the same floor.
