even though there were alot of power tools and pounding coming from the first that that was very damaged in the 2 hurricanes we had a beautiful room and the pool was excellent. No shade on the patio area and it was hot but they said they are working on it. Beach and water was wonderful

We had a great time. The condo was clean and perfect size for the two of us. The staff was nice and very helpful. The only thing that could use some improvement was the bed and the AC It wasn't very comfortable and it didn't get cold enough to sleep without sweating. We are used to a very comfortable and firm bed and we sleep with it very cool at night and we had gotten plenty of sun. I'm sure that didn't help.

This place was the perfect location for all of my 11 year old son and my adventures. We went as far South as Venice Beach and as far North as Tarpon Springs. We packed in so many fun filled days that we were exhausted by the time we got back to our room. It was so nice being right on the ocean and having a pool as well. Only thing is that I wish they would have had umbrellas and beach chairs for us so I didn't have to put out more money to rent one. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great location.

Our experience at Surf Song was excellent! The room was perfect for my wife and I and being right across from John’s Pass the location couldn’t be any better. This is our third time staying at Surf Song and we look forward to staying again in the future!

Perfect get-a-way, beach as the back yard and great shopping and eating across the street, @John's Pass.

We had a fantastic week with our family and thankfully it seemed quiet considering it was the week after 4th of July. If we make reservations in the future, (which I'm sure we will), we will try and book that week again.

Our room was nice but the property could really use some upkeep. Plants out front are dead, floors peeling and dirty, handrails are dirty. Rooms are overpriced based on the condition of the resort.

As usual, my stay in 226 was comfortable and it has always felt like my 2nd home for many years ..unfortunately, prices @SS and elsewhere in Mad Beach have shot up exorbitantly over the past 2-3 years causing me to consider looking at other areas for my winter stay ..this may be my last year renting there as they are pricing many of us out ..prices have been going up and services have been either reduced or eliminated ..not a good situation for any guest

..when I arrive yearly to SS #226 ..and this year I was greeted with a new kitchen when I walked in ..nice! ..and last year the bathroom was re-modeled ..the place is always immaculate when I arrive ..almost 20 years staying in the same apartment so I have no complaints

My wife and I stayed here for a week and the condo itself was very nice. The small studio size was perfect for us since we spend most of our time outside and on the beach anyways.

Pro's: It was very clean. The freezer had an ice maker and the kitchen had a dishwasher and everything that we needed to make meals so that we didn't have to eat out a lot. The bed was extremely comfortable! After a set of stairs and walking past the pool, your feet are in the sand.

Cons:
You could hear everyone outside and in the next room through the walls easily.
There wasn't a way to dry out towels or swimsuits unless we wanted to use the coin dryers. There was no balcony and the signs forbid us from hanging them over the railing.
We had a very long drive from Indiana, showed up 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday and received a call from the lady working... she wasn't the most friendly, but maybe she just had a long day. The ladies while we were checking out were much more friendly.

Overall, I would stay here again if the price was lower than surrounding condos with a balcony. This was our first time to Madeira Beach and we loved it. I do think the price is a bit high, but I'm used to staying at Myrtle Beach in a 2 bedroom condo with balcony right on the beach for about the same price. However, I will admit that the Gulf views are better.

Over the years, I'm come to expect comfortable accomodations and peaceful surroundings at SS and they always meet or exceed my expectations ..spotless, sanitized apartment ..the grounds are well kept and nicely landscaped and the location can't be beat ..beach just steps from the pool and John's Pass just a walk across the street ..restaurants, bars and shops all in a fishing village type atmosphere ..office on property which is a big plus ..courteous staff and very accomodating ...plenty of good restaurants locally with many located on the water ...you can't go wrong staying at SurfSong

Good place, next to the beach and drawbridge. Good parking. Good staff with good manners. We arrived late at about 9:30 p.m., a man was waiting for us who explained where the keys are, etc.
