The location is perfect! There’s so many places nearby that you really don’t need a car unless you’re one of those people who like to venture out. Our unit was cute, spacious, but it had some serious downfalls....the bed was AWFUL. The water pressure was SO high it felt like your skin was going to come off after a beach day, and the A/C .... Needs a serious upgrade. You can’t set the temp above 72 (like hello, it’s FLORIDA). Our unit’s A/C froze up at 74 degrees. We had to literally leave on our last day because it was 86 degrees in our unit and nothing to be done..that ruined our entire trip. I’d rather spend a little bit more money on one of the nicer neighboring buildings in the future than save a buck and experience that ever again. The pool at the condo is great, as is the sitting area around it. But you’re going to pay in the long run for the affordable rate.

We recently stayed in Surf Song #239 and everything was perfect! Obviously the location is tops, but the everything else about the stay was great. The unit was clean and contained all the needed supplies to meet our needs. Property management did a great a job with communication and the check in/out process was seamless. We will definitely be back!

The resort was great! It was kept clean and looking nice. The condo itself was also nice and clean! Staff was pleasant and the location was perfect with John’s Pass across the road from us.

Beautiful sunsets and John's Pass across the street make this a great location for a vacation. The building is older but kept clean and has a nice resort feel. We will return here on future visits.

Last year, we stayed a couple doors down at Beach Place, and I would definitely recommend Surf Song above them.

Only small complaints to be had - the bathroom fan is a little noisy. We didn't find the potholders until we were leaving (they were up on a shelf in a cabinet) and there are no bath mats, so be careful/use towels. Internet can also be laggy, but it's vacation - get outside.

The pool is nice, the balcony is perfect for sunset views, and the building is clean and comfortable.

Awful, especially for folks with anxiety/claustrophobia.

So lots could be fixed. Also, they are raising rates anywhere from $400-$700/week. The hotel, even though on the beach, is not worth the $1600 we spent for the 7 days we were there, let alone $2000-$2700 for a week.

Surf Song Resort - Unit 239 - Madeira Beach, FL

My wife and I rented Surf Song Resort Unit 239 in Madeira Beach, Florida from December 25th, 2021 through January 1st 2022.
We arrived at the condo between 7:00 and 8:00 PM on the evening of Christmas, December 25th. When we got off the elevator on the 2nd floor, our 1st impressions were not great. The hallways had a stale odor. The walls and carpet were dirty. The décor was very tired. My wife was nervous.
We entered the room and it seemed to be an improvement with the hallway. Here is a list of concerns that we had with the room and the amenities in the room:

Living/Dining/Bedroom
•No screen door on balcony.
•Bedroom window was broken. Sign on window warned us not to open. (see image).
•Living room ceiling light worked intermittently (possible fire hazard).
•Cable box and alarm clock in bedroom were on light switch. Constantly having to set clock.
•The clock in the living room did not work, probably needs batteries.
Bathroom
•Shower curtain liner was mended with tape. This could be replaced for around $5.00.
•Shower curtain rod fell down. Does not do a good job keeping water in shower pan.
•Bathroom baseboards needed a cleaning and coat of paint.
•Bathroom fan was inoperable.
Kitchen
•Garbage disposal clogged after only putting some fresh vegetable scraps and a banana peel in with running water. Maintenance man fixed issue and was very nice.
•Glassware and coffee cups were stained even after running through dishwasher. This is before we used them. I scrubbed them with a dishrag and soap & there was able to remove most of the stains.
•Kitchen cabinet doors were dirty. There was visible gummy buildup on the surface.
•Some kitchen drawers would not open and close properly.

They were kinda snobby and when i checked in they looked at me as i was 18. I look young bit im 34 and that i didnt like. The place does need a deep clean. But other then that it was amazing

Our vacation was amazing, and I am going to be booking room #239 again very soon. Super spacious and very clean. Beautiful view of the beach every morning and finding beautiful shells. The boardwalk did make me giggle tho, balcony side...reminded me of Summer Rental with John Candy...just perfect and cant wait to come back!

My wife and I go to Surf Song Resort two times a year. Beautiful location right on the Gulf. Large heated pool. Directly across from John&#x2019;s Pass. So close to many excellent restaurants. Our only problem was that the room we stayed in was not as nice as other units in which we&#x2019;ve stayed. Particularly had very worn out and stained carpet, broken lamp, tv&#x2019;s the size of computer monitors, and kitchen which needed updating.
