#516 Madeira Norte Condo [1]
Madeira Norte
Reviewed on 2024-09-22 by Marie K. , Louisville, KY United StatesIt was a great place to stay ! Close to everything and a Quiet resort so relaxing ! Beach view beautiful! Needed a couple of minor maintenance issues addressed! Tub did not drain well, kitchen faucets were extremely loose and felt like it would come out ! But overall clean and nice furniture. Beds really comfortable ! Will stay there again!
Great view, but the room needs so serious maintenance
Reviewed on 2024-07-08 by Doug B. , Dillsboro, IN UnknownThe view was very nice , but the room needs so serious maintenance. The kitchen faucet was loose had to get under sink and tighten. But it didn’t last. No ice maker! Not allowed to use? Bathroom faucets barely trickle water out. Most of the dishes were dirty and had to be washed before using. Just a very run down look inside. Hate to be this way but if not for the view and location it would have been a horrible experience. In our opinion it was very overpriced for what you get. We have stayed at this building over 8 times but this room was not worth the price.
Relax. Relax. Relax.
Reviewed on 2024-06-30 by , Louisville, KY United StatesUnit 516 is well-equipped, clean and comfortable. We have stayed in it before but forgot there is a storage box filled with beach chairs, toys and umbrellas. This is very nice. (We brought our own.)
The unit could use some refreshing cosmetically, but that doesn't deter from the comfort factor. We personally would appreciate the use of the refrigerator's ice machine. Ice is so important on a beach vacation. It would be a sweet perk.
The views from this particular unit are some of our favorite, as you are able to look out: (1) at the water, (2) north toward Redington and (3) across the street toward John's Pass. There was rain one day (all day) during our time there, but we simply sat on the balcony and enjoyed the views and the breeze. Other days we spent on the beach relaxing and enjoying the added bonus of several manatee sightings.
We would stay in this unit again.
A few final notes ... it has been a few years since we rented with Sunhost. The key fobs for elevator use, pool and beach entry are very convenient, but the $250 deposit seems a bit excessive. Our check-in process was not as smooth as it has been in years past. Possibly the clerk was overwhelmed with the number of guests checking in. She didnt seem equipped to answer any questions we had. However, check-out was much more pleasant.

Reviewed on 2024-06-23 by Thomas and Janet R. , Louisville, KY United StatesGood room excellent view of the beach. The blinds in 516 were almost useless. Not happy about the bathroom situation. Sharing a bathroom basically with four people not the best. Elevators are small and slow. The pool closes too early. Needs to be 10 pm like most other places
Second time, great stay!
Reviewed on 2024-06-07 by Vivian M. , fruitville, British Columbia CanadaHappy they have FOBS now for elevator and pool. Property well maintained. Stayed in unit 516, very nice unit. Easy check in and checkout. Great updates before stay began.
Excellent location, Balcony fabulous for sunset views
Reviewed on 2024-05-06 by , Jasper, IN United StatesMadeira Norte was a very well maintained complex in a fantastic location however; our unit was a bit run down and not especially clean. The doors in the bathroom were peeling on the bottom, baseboards dirty, extra replacement flooring was stored under the dresser and nightstand in the master and had at least 2 inches of dust on top, carpets dirty around baseboards in master, tv remote was absent of batteries and even after we bought some and followed the directions for use we couldn’t get the main tv to work without calling maintenance. We were told not to turn the thermostat below 72 or it would freeze up and the toilet in one of the bathrooms required removal of the back constantly or it wouldn’t fill. The shower floor was discolored which made it appear dirty. The transformer blew in the entire building leaving us without power half of one night into 1:30 the next day, the unit got hot & our food warm in fridge. The bed wasn’t super comfy nor was the livingroom furniture. That being said we loved the location and enjoyed the view of the sunsets and the entertainers from the Bamboo lounge across the street that were easily heard from the balcony. Although I do not think we would rent this unit again I would be inclined to stay at Madeira Norte. Also want to mention the rental company was great and was very responsive to the issues we had during our stay.

Reviewed on 2023-11-29 by Sharon F. , Cincinnati, OH USThe view was amazing. Absolutely beautiful. You could hear music from across the street(which we enjoyed) we would sit on the balcony and listen. When you went inside you couldn't hear the music. So that was really nice. The only complaint was a lot of construction at this site. We couldn't park in our assigned parking spot. But it was a really nice place.
Enjoyed Madeira
Reviewed on 2023-08-14 by Meredith Q. , Hickory, NC United StatesWe enjoyed Madeira but our condo needed work. The size and furniture were good but there were repairs needed. The lever to turn on the shower was broken from day 1 which I reported and was never repaired. The sink in half bath leaked. The sliding glass door handle was barely on and eventually came off while we were on the balcony. The elevators were expired 8/22 and would jerk, drop a little or take forever. The were small and not air conditioned. I would visit Madeira again but not stay there.
Best Beach Vacation!
Reviewed on 2023-06-26 by Kimberly P. , Seminole , FL United StatesWe had the best beach vacation! Madeira Norte offered easy access to the most beautiful beach and the unit we rented was well decorated and equipped with everything we needed. John’s Pass is directly across the street and offered many restaurants and water activities. The pool was well maintained and offered plenty of seating. Will definitely rent here again.

Incredible Beach Views ~ 100 % Recommended
Reviewed on 2022-09-25 by Beverly O. , N/A, CO United StatesThis property overextended my expectations when it comes to the balbony views! Pictures don't do it justice, simply incredible. We even spotted wild dolphins from our deck and from the beach shores as well. Place was very clean, well equipped, exactly as described. Minutes walk from John's Pass, short drive to grocery stores, Clearwater and St. Pete's beach (which is a must to visit).I would absolutely return and recommend this rental for and incredible beach life experience.
Great time but some issues
Reviewed on 2022-06-29 by Michele H. , STAFFORD, VA United StatesWe did a late check in Saturday and all seemed well at the condo at first. Found out the tub would hold water and we took a shower ankle deep. A dirty washcloth was found next to the tub and underneath the sofa you could see crumbs and napkins. One fan did not work at all in the spare bedroom and the living room fan you had to keep the light on. Both were missing batteries in the remote. Went to the office Sunday morning advised the lady of all items but the crumbs and napkins under couch as I had not seen them yet. She said maintenance would get to it when they can. Come Tuesday and no one show up. Called the office and was told that they do not show a record of any of this. She said she would put one in. Then we go to leave and we are locked in. Looks like pest control came, at no point were we advised they would be coming. We were sitting on the balcony and did not hear them. When we went to leave we could not open the screen door. The pest control people had shut screen door all the way and we could not open it. We called and maintenance came, had to climb thru the kitchen window and took the handle off which loosened the lock part which was stuck. Maintenance came Wednesday to do the tub and look at the fans. They only fixed on fan. The condo was nice, great views and it looks like they were doing some upgrades. I have stayed at the Crimson and I have to same management and maintenance is quicker to respond. The second lady who helped was very nice, first lady needs some customer service training. After all that I would probably stay there again, hoping with less issues.
Beautiful!

You Can't Go Wrong In Madeira Norte
Reviewed on 2020-11-04 by , Fisherville, KY United StatesIt goes without saying Madeira Norte is in a perfect location, being directly across the street from John's Pass Village & Boardwalk. We have stayed in many units at this particular resort. Unit 516 was clean and had a beautiful view out into the Gulf of Mexico and north toward Clearwater. The unit is comfortable and well-stocked; however, it is in need of some TLC. It would not be our first choice next time, but we would not rule it out completely.
