Amazing Condo with amazing vistas

Reviewed on Wednesday, March 09, 2011

This is a great condo. You get exactly what the pictures tell you, except when we opened the closet door and all of the beach gear was there it was great! Umbrellas, chairs, noodles, wakeboards...what a treat...the teenagers loved it. The view..sitting out watching the thunder storms go across Tampa and out to the Gulf was incredible. And there was no oil on the beach..just as they had promised. If it was available for our dates this year I will definately go back

Beautiful Condo on Madeira Beach, with great views.

Reviewed on Wednesday, March 09, 2011

We have been coming to Madeira Beach for over 20 years, staying in different condos. This is one of the nicest we have stayed in. It was clean and comfortable and the view from the balcony was great! The location was good, right on the beach, and Johns Pass across the road with shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and pleasent. We would stay at #413 Madeira Norte again.

Another great vacation in Madiera Beach, FL

Reviewed on Friday, December 10, 2010

We have rented condos at Madiera Norte for several years. It is a great value, wonderful beach and convenient location. Many of the units, including #413, have been remodeled recently. All of the units are clean and comfortable.

best location!

Reviewed on Tuesday, July 06, 2010

we stayed with our 3 small children (all under 5), and the location couldn't have been better. the beach was so close and accessible - and uncrowded! the unit was okay - but it was just as advertised and certainly not worse so no complaints. all of the appliances worked and the space was adequate. there is a view of the beach from the balcony so that was nice. our late check-in and early check-out were easily accomodated.

Great experience

Reviewed on Monday, July 05, 2010

We stayed in unit 515 and loved this condo. It suited our needs with two small children and ourselves. The building is well maintained and check in was an easy experience. When I had trouble with keys I was given new keys later in the day. The only problem was the pool heater wasn't working when we arrived and was not fixed until late in the week. We enjoyed our stay and would definately return.

Great Place

Reviewed on Thursday, June 24, 2010

This place is great! I have absolutely no complaints and we are very picky travellers. The condo looks exactly like the pictures online. It is very clean and had everything we needed. It felt like home away from home. The location is great, it is close to everything you need-entertainment, food, shopping etc..The pool was nice and clean and the beach was amazing. I would recommend this condo to everyone.

Great Weather and Lazy Beach Days!

It was a great vacation right from the beginning, check in was easy, hassle free and quick!!! And you could not get a better location. Madiera Norte is right on the beach and right across the street from John's Pass, which has great shopping and restaurants. We stayed in condo #413 and it was spotless and had everything we needed!

Laid Back Trip

Reviewed on Thursday, June 24, 2010

This was the most laid back vacation we have had. This condo is the perfect location for everything. You can walk to Johns Pass for dining and shopping. Ocean front room with patio doors in the living room and master bedroom so you can listen to the ocean at night and watch the activity during the day. Check in and check out was a breeze. Can't wait to go back.

Very enjoyable, stayed there before.

Plan to come back some time with family. We like the location, there is shopping near by, Restaurents ECT. The john,S pass is great for Leasure and shopping and just watching the dolphins go by. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing in #210, the Toillett kept running and the kit.Sink water kept dripping, other then that we enjoyed our stay there again and plan to come back.

We would like to return to one of your units for a few weeks and every place is booked. So I guess there is telling you what most of Sunhost properties are like. We mostly stay at Surf Song but our last trip was stayed at Madeira Norte. We stayed three weeks and I could of stayed another 3 weeks. Sue and Ozzie Blandford Hamburg PA

Relaxing, affordable beach vacation.

Reviewed on Friday, July 17, 2009

We love Madeira Beach and the Sun Host resorts. The unit that we rented this year, Madeira Norte #413 had been recently re-furbished and re-decorated making it the best of the units that we have rented, although all have been clean, comfortable and well kept. You can't beat the price, the location is great and the beach is the best - clean, safe and not crowded. During the five or six spring vacations that we have spent at Madeira Norte, we have always found the Sun Host staff to be friendly and helpful. We would highly recommended Sun Host resorts to anyone looking for an affordable beach vacation.

Best family vacation stay!!!

We loved staying at Maderia Norte room 108. The staff was very nice and helpful, they seemed happy to fill us in on the local attractions and things to do. The room was very clean! We were glad to find everything just like the pictures and descriptions had portrayed the condo to be. The condo was also decorated beautifully! It was truely an awesome getaway! The condo owners had everything we needed to stay for the week and filled us in on any questions or concerns we had. The area is very nice....you dont have to have a car! John's Pass is right across the street with lots of shops and resturants in walking distance. But dont worry about loosing your privacy because there were no disturbances..it was like being on our own private beach. You can get anywhere within a few minutes of driving and there are lots of attractions around. The beach and water was awesome and beautiful! We didnt use the pool much, its much smaller than the ocean, however it is very clean and nice. What we liked most about the Condo was the cleanliness and the location. Both where perfect and needed no improvement. We were so satisfied with our stay that we are going to try and stay there every year. I dont think anything needs improvement!

Enjoyable

Our accomodations were very good and the condo was furnished with all the necessary amenities. We had an excellent location. From our side sliding doors, we could see the moon disappear and did not want to miss it. We liked this the best and the weather did not co-operate, but the friendly atmosphere was great.

Great location with clean accomodations

Reviewed on Tuesday, June 16, 2009

We have stayed in the resort before and hence it was an easy decision to stay again . We love the location across from John's Pass and the beach is wide with minimal crowds . The resort is older but kept very clean . Our condo has been renovated recently and was excellent except for a very squeaky master bed .

Great view!

Reviewed on Saturday, June 13, 2009

This is an excellent condo for a family! My husband and I stayed here with our two young children and had a wonderful experience! My favorite part is the view of the beach and the gulf!!! My only complaint is that there is NOT a DVD player, so it was good that we brought our portable for the kids. Also, the bed in the master bedroom is not very comfortable. I would definitely return and stay in the condo because for me, it's all about the view!!!!!!!!

Perfect Vacation

Reviewed on Sunday, May 24, 2009

The pictures did not show how beautiful the condo actually was. It was clean and big enough for our family of 5 (kids ages 6, 9 &11). The balcony was huge and the view was spectacular. The kitchen was totally equip with everything we needed. It was so nice to simply go down the elevator and have access to the pool and beach. John's Pass was also a bonus and it was fun to have a look at all the little shops, and do some of the activities available there, like parasailing. We would definitely go back to vacation there again.

The Building and Beach are Great!

Reviewed on Wednesday, May 06, 2009

This is a beautiful building and the beach is great. The unit it self was also very nice, just remodled. The only problem was the kitchen was not overly stocked with sharp knives, cutlery, baking dishes, or storage dishes. The dryer also did not work to my expectations, so I just hung things out to dry, much faster. Overall our stay was just great, how could you complain when the beach is right out the back elevator! We had a grea time!

Seven Days in Paradise

Reviewed on Thursday, April 02, 2009

Our family, my husband, 13-year old son and myself, spent March break at this resort. We have stayed in the area once before at a different resort. We were pleased with the resort. Loved the location; on the beach and close to John's pass; loved the parking and the overall resort. Aa few issues with the unit itself; a bit dated; did not like the old shag carpet and the air conditioning unit did not work first two days. But maintenance was quick to help fix it and the unit itself was clean and well stocked. Our only compaint would be the shag carpet in the unit and the need for a key for so many places. Understand the need, but it is a nuicance when your hands are full trying to dig out your key. Overall had a great time and are hoping to be able to come back next year. We will probably try for a different unit. Thanks very much. Jackie and Mike Beaudin

Great location

Reviewed on Thursday, April 02, 2009

Our family of three enjoyed a one-week stay at Madeira Norte. Unlike so many other high-rise resorts on Gulf Blvd, Madeira Norte is a lot smaller. The unit we stayed in was average at best. We had problems with the air conditioning and the unit needed a general upgrade. Despite that we enjoyed the proximity to the beach and to John's Pass. We were in walking distance of excellent restaurants and shopping. Some guests complained the pool was too small and there was no hot but but that wasn't a concern for our family. We go to Florida to enjoy the beach and the Gulf waters. We plan to return but will look for a unit with a few more upgrades.

Beautiful Condo Great view

Reviewed on Wednesday, February 18, 2009

Our family spent a wonderful week at Madeira Norte #214. Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and walking the beach were highlights. Our daughter swam with the dolphins in the Gulf as they swam by the condo. She could reach out and touch them. We could walk across the street to John's Pass and the wonderful shops along the boardwalk. The Unit itself was beautiful. Completely redone and very comfortable. All in all a terrific week. We would like to thank the very helpful staff in the office for the extra assistance given to us during our stay. You are truly great people.

Beautiful View Inside and Out!!

Reviewed on Wednesday, November 12, 2008

This is our 7th time staying at a SunHost Resort. The staff is wonderful and the service is fabulous. We couldn?t ask for better! We stayed at this particular property for 8 days. The d?cor created and warm and inviting ambiance. The kitchen was well stocked with many useful items, coffee pot, blender, utensils, etc. We even used the washer/dryer; it was so cute and tiny! There were two basically two separate but adjoining bathrooms each with a toilet, sink and mirror. This made it very nice for two people to get ready at the same time, and still be in the ?same? room. The view from the living room balcony was nice? There was a single lone palm tree in front of the balcony but it didn?t really seem to be in the way of the view. The view from the bedroom was beautiful and not obstructed at all from the palm tree. You can see all the way down the right side of the beach. The one thing that we didn?t care for was the fact that every thing was locked. You can?t use the elevator without a key; you can?t get on or off the beach without your key, etc. For example: my husband and I went down to the beach with only one key. I forgot something so I headed back up to the room. Then my husband decided he wanted to go back to the room for something too, but couldn?t because he didn?t have a key to get off the beach. He had to wait for me to come back to open the gate for him. If you like strict security or don?t mind it? then just remember to get a key for everyone in your party so that you can all come and go as you please. I hope this review was helpful and that you stay here or at any of the SunHost Resorts? You just can?t go wrong! Happy Vacationing!

A great last minute find!

Reviewed on Wednesday, November 05, 2008

We booked only two weeks prior to our stay. For being so last minute, we were greatful to have found a condo with the ammenities we were looking for. This room had a lovely ocean front view. The unit needs some updates. The furniture was nice, but definately needing new appliances and a new master bed. The freezer did not freeze..so no ice cream for our kids. :( But, overall we were blessed to have found it at the last minute and at a great price too! We would stay again, if there were no other available rooms with better upgrades. The maintenance manager in this facility was A+!! He was very thorough and helpful. I would highly reccomend this facility....maybe try and find a nicer room if that's important to you.

Great place for families

Reviewed on Saturday, October 25, 2008

My family and I enjoyed the stay at the Madeira North Condo. Security is #1 and is quite too. Most important thing for us was that the beach is just a minute away. I would recommend this place to all the families with children.

Great View but ........

Reviewed on Friday, October 24, 2008

We had stayed in this building before so we were familiar with the amenities etc. and the view from the balcony is amazing however it was the worst prepared unit we have ever rented in over 15 years of going to Madeira Beach. There were many examples that I could go on about this unit but I won't waste my time, for illustrative purposes there were four spoons in the entire condo! The management office is unorganized and ill informed as well so be prepared if you are utilizing their services, I know that we will never again.

Best Thnksgiving we ever had

Reviewed on Friday, October 24, 2008

Although I only live a few miles from Madeira Norte, spending Thanksgiving week there felt as if I was a million miles from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The condo is comfortable and well-appointed, but "family" enough so that you feel right at home. Across the street from John's Pass means not having to drive to do a little shopping or get a great dinner; situated right on the beach with great views and easy access; we loved it. AND, we're booked for Thanksgiving week, 2008!! Can't wait!

Everything was to my satisfaction at Christmas. The accomodation, the staff of Surf Song, the neighbors, the endless beach, the peaceful surroundings. The township neighborhood in Johns Pass(?) was relaxed and gave me the feeling of beeing somewhere out in the countryside. Yet there are good shops and restaurants in walking distance from your premises. And by car the location is close to everything you could ever need. I know the party of our closest family will fondly remember the wonderful Christmas Holidays we spent at Madeira Norte in 2007.
