Good Fortune Restaurant Logo

Good Fortune - Late Night Sushi and Asian Fusion

Good Fortune is a great late-night sushi and Asian fusion restaurant located right in the heart of Downtown St. Petersburg. Their Sushi Bar offers 12 Signature rolls as well as a large assortment of Nigiri or Sashimi. If sushi isn’t on your mind that night, make sure to check their menu of shareable small plates, as well as their bowls and entrées. Good Fortune also makes a point to include a fully loaded cocktail menu with Asian-infused beverages such as their Lychee Martini or Sakura Spritz. Be sure to come around on Mondays for their Karaoke night.

The Best Sushi in St Petersburg

The Lure - Award Winning Sushi with a Casual Charm

The Lure is not exactly what you would expect from St. Petersburg Foodies' 2020 Best Sushi Restaurant, but sometimes what you see is not what you get. Walk past the garage-style open doors, through the billiards tables, and arrive at what appears to be your local ocean-themed dive for some serious sushi. This location boasts a selection of 31!! Sushi rolls, as well as your favorite types of sashimi and nigiri. Have a large group? Look into their surfboards; they include 8-24 rolls at a time. Like many others, the Lure also includes a side menu, but it has a tapas-style feel unique to this spot alone. A favorite specialty appetizer for locals and tourists alike is the Lava Drops (kami salad-stuffed rice balls).

Mangosteen Restaurant Logo

Mangosteen - Elevating Asian Fusion in Downtown St. Pete

Sushi, Tacos, Noodles, Rice, and more. If you’re hungry for any of these, look no further. Mangosteen opened late in the summer of 2021, advertising as the next level of Asian Fusion for the downtown St. Petersburg area, and they have not disappointed. The modern, airy environment of this restaurant leads to a great location for intimate first dates or large office gatherings alike. Obviously, we recommend their 21 Sushi Rolls, but what really sets Mangosteen apart would be their Thai-inspired Drunken Noodles and various rice bowls. We would do you a disservice by not mentioning their incredible happy hour special of BOGO cocktails from 3 PM to 5 PM from Monday to Friday.

Salt Rock Front Sign

Salt Rock - New Sushi Sensation in Indian Rocks Beach

A little off the beaten path of downtown St. Petersburg, Salt Rock is new to the Sushi scene. Once known for its legendary beach dining experience of steaks and seafood, this restaurant dares to tread a new path. Recently, Salt Rock included 15 Sushi rolls as well as makimono and various poke bowls in its already iconic menu. Also included are Tuna and Salmon Sashimi options as well as Makimono. The Volcano Roll comes highly recommended from locals, whether you wish to enjoy it as an entrée or share it as an appetizer. Regardless, you can enjoy your fresh seafood, steaks, or sushi in one of Pinellas County’s best restaurants.
