Visit a Piece of Florida's Natural History

John's Pass was first created by a major hurricane in 1848. A ferocious storm hit the Gulf Coast and cut a large passage through the barrier island that now separates Madeira Beach to the north and Treasure Island to the south. It was named after its discoverer Jean "John" Levique, a local sea turtle hunter and fisherman. Over the next century, the John's Pass area has changed from a sleepy fishing village into a vibrant shopping and entertainment district at the southernmost part of Madeira Beach.

Endless Beachfront Entertainment

Home to over 100 shops, restaurants, galleries and nightclubs, the Village has become a destination for visitors. You can shop while spotting dolphins and manatees cruising in the calm waters! John's Pass Village also features commercial and charter fishing, sightseeing cruises, boat and jet-ski rentals, and parasailing. Plus, there are family friendly activities that are actually kid approved! Rent a huge Waverunner that seats the whole family, take the kids to a pirate show at the Pirate Ship, or enjoy delicious, affordable seafood at one of the local eateries!
